The clients wanted a pair of wedding rings, with the bride’s ring designed to compliment her unusual garnet engagement ring.
The couple had always enjoyed the natural world – in particular walking on beaches – and wanted the rings to reflect this interest, with imagery based on waves, driftwood and pebbles. They had seen one of Richard’s ammonite rings at the Wirksworth Art & Architecture Trail and were keen to try something similar for the bride’s ring.
The groom’s ring was to be in the style of one of Richard’s Portuguese architecture-inspired rings.
The outcome of the project was a pair of silver and gold rings, complimentary yet individual.
The main body of the bride’s ring is silver with 14ct gold “wave” detail, like water lapping on a beach. The body is set with an ammonite, which in turn supports a cabochon sapphire. The gents ring is again crafted from silver with a 14ct gold wave running through the centre and gold pebble detail on either side.
